Adonis Blue Polyommatus (Lysandra) bellargus
Still a rare inhabitant on unfertilised but well-grazed southern chalk and limestone downs, mostly confined to Wiltshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight, where on good years the downs can produce thousands of adults. Double brooded.
