On the upperside forewings the fulvous patches are missing.

Underside of the forewings with no orange patches or black spots.

Hindwings with no inner line of black spots and only two in the outer row.

trans ab. albobsoleta Verity 1943

The underside has none of the usual white markings.

The specimen shown is transitional to this form.

This specimen shows a much smaller hindwing and is thus asymmetrical.
